Our Faculty

Every professional at Gotta Dance is selected for their outstanding credentials as well as their high-energy personalities and love of teaching. With backgrounds in stage performance and dance education, we've created a winning team to develop your dancer. Our dance instructors come from the Broadway theatre, Radio City Rockettes, major ballet companies as principle dancers, Juilliard scholarship winners, national tours, MTV videos, Nickelodeon, International cruise ships, New Jersey Nets Dancers and the Martha Graham Dance Ensemble.

Jana Belot (Director/Teacher)

Talent scholarship - Point Park College dance major, performed with The Extension and American Dance Ensemble, founded Gotta Dance in 1989, Dance Educators of America certified, high honors.

Mary Capellas

Radio City Rockette, choreographed many musicals, danced aboard Royal Caribbean and Celebrity Cruise lines, teaches "The Rockette Experience".

BA in dance from Rutgers Mason Gross School of the Arts, member of Associated Dance Theaters of Central Jersey, appeared in Giselle and The Nutcracker with NJ Theatre Guild.

AFA in dance from Morris County College, attended Ramapo College, awarded 4th overall at International Dance Comp./Festival in Prague, many awards in gymnastics and dance.

Caroline Hidalgo

Has been teaching at Gotta Dance since 1996. She has a degree in Dance from Mason Gross School of the Arts and is Dance Educator of America certified with high honors. She is the Children's Rehearsal Director for the Moscow Ballet's "Nutcracker." Her choreography has been performed at Disney World.

Is a graduate of Rutgers College. Member of The Rutgers Performing Dance Company, and on the Dean's list. Sarah has been dancing with Gotta Dance for 18 years.

Samantha Kestenbaum

Has been dancing with Gotta Dance since the age of four.  Currently persuing her AFA in dance and AA in theater at Raritan Valley Community College.  Has performed in many musicals and plays including "Rent" and "Me and My Girl"

Former Radio City Rockette, graduate of Point Park College, teaches conventions and judges dance competitions. Dynamite choreographer and teacher.

Nicole Tozzi

Graduated from Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University with a BFA in dance. Her choreography has been present at "The Outlet Dance Project" in the Hamilton Grounds for Sculptures and many other student venues.

Graduated from Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University with a BFA in dance and a minor in psychology. Kathleen has performed with modern dance choreographers John Evans and Julia Ritter.

Olivia Allen

Working to her obtain her AFA at Raritan Valley Community College and is on the Deans list.  Graduated from the gifted and talented Dance performance program at Somerset County Vo-tech.  Performed pieces at the NHSDF including "Soaring" by Ruth St. Dennis.  Olivia is a member of Freespace Junior Dance Company.

Laura Evantz

Performed with Tapestry Dance Company and Penn State University's University Dance Company. Choreographed featured works for the London World Aids Awareness ball and is a 2 time finalist for the Young Choreographers award with Dance Educators of America.
