We are excited to be in our 11th season of the Nutcracker here at Gotta Dance. The Nutcracker is a beautiful tale of holiday magic, childhood fantasy, and the triumph of love, peace, and harmony over evil. We are blessed and honored to have the distinct privilege of providing all 125 children's and teenagers' roles for the world renowned Moscow Ballet's production of "The Nutcracker."
We are so happy to welcome back old familiar faces who are "Nutcracker veterans", and we are glad to have the opportunity of meeting so many new faces too! Anyone who has participated in this special holiday tradition knows how wonderful it is! The experience of learning exciting choreography, making new friends, challenging yourself technically, learning how to create and portray a character, ad then bringing it all together on stage with a famous Russian ballet company is nothing short of magic!! Rehearsals are fun by Caroline Hidalgo, with Gillian Petersen returning as assistant :) Rehearsals are short (45 min-1 hr) and run on time. Depending on your role, you will have between 8-10 rehearsals, with one excused absence. Dancing in The Nutcracker is a beautiful adventure, which you will remember for years to come.
